The Safer Internet Week is launched in a familiar way by a seminar attended by invited guests. The main theme of the seminar is 'Connecting Generations'. The seminar will be opened by Asta Sihvonen-Punkka, FICORA's Director-General. In addition, there will be a speech by Leo Pekkala, Director of the Finnish Centre for Media Education and Audiovisual Media, and an interesting panel discussion on the future visions of the generation that was born to using the internet.

The Turku University of Applied Sciences will arrange an open and cost-free seminar on the information security of small and medium-sized companies. The seminar will be held at the Lemminkäisenkatu premises of the Turku University of Applied Sciences at 12-17. Additional information and registration: www.tietoturvapaiva.fi.

The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA), the Finnish Society on Media Education, the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare and the Finnish Centre for Media Education and Audiovisual Media will arrange a seminar aimed at parents of 6-12 year-olds. The seminar will be held at the Valkoinen sali (White Hall) in Helsinki (Aleksanterinkatu 16-18) at 17-19.30. Everyone is welcome and there is no cost for participation.
