Data saved on the hard drive may be lost if the hard drive is broken, the computer is stolen or you accidentally delete the data yourself. Make backup copies of important files on a memory stick, a CD or a DVD and store them carefully.
With special equipment, files can be restored even from hard drives and memory cards that are severely damaged. The work can be expensive but worthwhile in some circumstances. It is not recommended that you try to restore important files yourself since the files are easily damaged even more. For restoring lost files, contact your computer retailer.
