Getting connected safely

When you start using a new computer, do not connect the Internet access, i.e. do not connect the Internet connection cable or modem cable to the computer, before taking the following steps:

To set up the new computer, follow the instructions in the manual delivered with the computer and turn on the computer for the first time.
Some computers have preinstalled anti-virus software which usually requires the user to install it and register to the service. Security software is available at, for instance, IT shops, department stores and electronic shops, or they can be purchased as security services from most operators.
