The Internet is a useful everyday tool for various forms of business. A precondition for services provided on the Internet is trust between the users and providers of the services.
When communicating online, you can never be certain of who you are dealing with. The user of a service must be able to ascertain that the service provider really is who he or she claims to be. Respectively, the service provider must be able to verify the identity of the user in order to ensure the user's legal protection and the continuity of the service.
The possibilities to access the Internet are numerous: at home, school, work, libraries, coffee shops, or even on the street through a wireless connection. The other side of the coin are the increased risk of malpractice that the users are faced with and the need for carefulness in using personal data.
It is worth remembering that there are two parties communicating in services on the Internet. The service provider can only attend to the information security of his or her own service. It is the service user's responsibility to look after his or her conduct and computer security.
